The set captures an outdoor air conditioning unit and a satellite antenna in 1:48 scale. It is a diorama accessory, not a model of an aircraft or a vehicle: it serves to finish off facades and flat roofs in modern and contemporary scenes. The parts are printed in resin, so they have clean edges and a fine surface.
An air conditioner and a satellite dish are typical details of present-day civilian and military buildings. Placed on the wall of a house, on a roof or on the side of a container structure, they give a scene its sense of scale and its credibility. They work well as a visual anchor in urban scenes and at bases.
The parts are held on thin print supports. Before separating them it is worth dipping the set in hot water for a moment: the resin softens slightly, the supports are easier to cut away and the material does not chip, and the hardness returns once it has cooled. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and do the sanding with respiratory protection. Degrease the surface before painting and apply a base primer; ordinary modeling paints can be used, and a fine wash into the recesses suits the satellite dish.
The accessory is supplied as a resin casting, unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the building itself are not included in the package.
