A photo-etched set for the Arado Ar-68F in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Eduard. A detail metal accessory for a plastic kit of the German trainer biplane, not a model in its own right.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a kit of an aircraft but a photo-etched accessory. The set of thin metal sheet adds to a model of the Arado Ar-68F biplane in 1:48 scale the details that cannot be molded in injection plastic at a corresponding thickness. It is a photo-etched metal accessory for models of aircraft. It is made by Eduard, a Czech maker from Obrnice near Most, whose photo-etch is among the reference products in the field.
The Arado Ar 68 was a German single-engine biplane of the 1930s with an open cockpit and fixed landing gear. Version F differed from the older modifications in its powerplant, which showed in the shape of the nose and the cowling. In its day it was the last generation of biplanes, which all-metal monoplanes soon replaced, and the machine was then used mainly for training.
Cut the parts out of the fret with a scalpel on a hard surface; never break them out. Lead the bends over a steel ruler or in a photo-etch bender. Photo-etch is glued with superglue or with a glue intended for metal; glue for plastic does not hold on metal. The plastic part that the photo-etch replaces has to be cut away first and the surface leveled. With a biplane, do the photo-etched details of the cockpit before you close the fuselage up and fit the upper wing — after that you can no longer get into the space.
An accessory for a plastic kit. The package does not contain a model, paints or glue.
