Eduard AV-8B masks 1:48 is a die-cut self-adhesive masking set for a model of the AV-8B Harrier II ground-attack aircraft. It gives crisp color transitions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage. It is not a model but a masking aid.
Responsibility details are not available.
This die-cut self-adhesive Eduard masking set in 1:48 scale is intended for a plastic model of the AV-8B Harrier II short takeoff and vertical landing ground-attack aircraft. It is neither a kit nor a model in its own right, but a set of precisely shaped masks in thin yellow masking tape (kabuki). The masks will be appreciated by modelers who want crisp color transitions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage areas without tediously cutting tape by hand.
The AV-8B Harrier II is an American and British subsonic ground-attack aircraft with short takeoff and vertical landing (STOVL). It grew out of the original British Harrier and serves above all with the United States Marine Corps for close fire support from improvised strips and from the decks of amphibious ships. Vectored engine thrust lets it take off and land without a conventional runway.
Degrease the glazing of the bubble canopy. Lift the masks off the backing and lay them on the frame of the windscreen and the sliding section, pressing them into the edges. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin coats. The masks for the wheels separate the tire from the disc. Once the paint has dried, peel the masks off carefully at a shallow angle.
The package contains masks only. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
