Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precisely die-cut self-adhesive painting masks from the Czech maker Eduard for a model of the American Consolidated B-24D Liberator heavy bomber in 1:48 scale. It is neither a kit nor a model: it is an accessory that makes painting the extensive glazing and other surfaces cleanly much easier. The masks are stuck straight onto the parts, so the subdivided framing of the glazed nose, the pilot's cockpit and the gun turrets gets crisp, straight edges without laborious cutting of adhesive tape. Sets of this kind also tend to include circular masks for the wheel discs.
The Consolidated B-24 Liberator was an American four-engined heavy bomber of the Second World War with a characteristic high-set Davis wing and twin rudders. The D version was one of the first mass-produced variants, and the Liberator as a whole became the most numerously built American bomber of the war, deployed on every front. The extensive glazing and the turrets make masks a particularly useful accessory on this type.
Lift the mask carefully off the backing with tweezers or the tip of a knife and lay it on a dry, degreased surface. Press the edges down carefully, so that paint cannot run underneath. Apply the paint in thin coats, ideally with an airbrush, and pull the mask off before the coat hardens completely. On strongly curved shapes it helps to seal the edge with masking fluid.
This is a set of painting masks, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
