Eduard 1:48 B-24J Liberator bomb racks is a full photo-etched set of bomb racks for the B-24J Liberator bomber in 1:48 scale, the logical companion to an open bomb bay.

This full photo-etched set from Eduard deals with the bomb racks of the Consolidated B-24J Liberator bomber for models in 1:48 scale. It is an accessory for the base kit that makes most sense in combination with an open bomb bay, where the racks for the armament are right in front of the viewer. The model of the aircraft itself is not included in the package and has to be obtained separately.
The Liberator carried its bombs on vertical racks along the sides of the two bays and, depending on the character of the mission, carried a load ranging from light fragmentation bombs to heavy demolition pieces. It was precisely the large load capacity together with the range that made it a universal tool of Allied aviation; the type also wrote itself indelibly into history with low-level raids on the Romanian refineries at Ploiesti. Empty or full racks then tell clearly on a model at what stage of a combat day we are catching the machine.
With tiny racks, work over a tray with a raised edge so that parts that spring away do not end up in the carpet. Make the joints with thin cyanoacrylate fed with a needle and draw any excess off immediately with a paper wedge. Degrease the assembly before any spraying, as metal otherwise repels paint.
