A photo-etched set for the rear part of the fuselage interior of the B-26B Marauder bomber in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The B-26B Marauder was an American twin-engine medium bomber of the Second World War. For its day it was a fast machine with a high wing loading, which among crews had the reputation of an aircraft demanding to fly, especially on takeoff and landing. The inside of the fuselage behind the pilot's compartment was densely fitted out, and on a model it can be shown.
The set is photo-etched, that is made from thin metal sheet, and it aims at the rear part of the fuselage interior. Photo-etch can do what injection-molded plastic cannot: it gives the walls and brackets a thickness matching the scale and replaces simplified shapes from the box with crisp edges and a fine surface.
The set is for modelers who want the fuselage open or lit from within and are not afraid of working with small metal parts. It pays to reckon on extra time and to have tweezers and a bender at hand.
This is an accessory for a kit. The aircraft model, paints and glue are not in the package, unless stated otherwise.
