1:48 B-26G Marauder US national insignia contains masks for spraying the American national insignia on the model of this machine. The insignia is sprayed, not applied as a decal.
Responsibility details are not available.
Eduard has prepared a sheet of die-cut masks for spraying the American markings on the model of the twin-engine bomber. The star with the side bars is created directly on the surface of the model, without using a decal.
Sprayed markings have no carrier film, so no glossy outline and no silvery haze appear on flat camouflage. On the curved surfaces of the fuselage and across engraved panel lines they hold considerably better than a large-area decal and will survive later rubbing or dusting. The result also matches the way insignia were really applied during the war: with a stencil and an airbrush, often with edges that were not entirely precise.
Let the base dry thoroughly and go over it with a smooth varnish, so that the edge seats and the paint does not creep under it. First lay down the blue field, then after drying insert the inner parts and add the white. Direct the paint perpendicular to the edge, not at an angle under it. Lift the mask at a shallow angle and without jerking. If you are building a machine with a weathered finish, try laying the white on unevenly: markings on frontline aircraft were as scuffed as the rest of the airframe.
This is a masking material. The model and the paints are not supplied with it.
