A photo-etched detail set in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It holds fine metal parts for sharpening the plastic kit of the Japanese carrier-based attack aircraft Aichi B7A2 Ryusei, given the code name Grace by the Allies. It is an accessory, not a model in its own right; the contents follow the instructions in the package.
The Aichi B7A2 Ryusei was a Japanese carrier-based torpedo and dive bomber of the end of the Second World War. It was a high-performing modern machine with an internal bomb bay and a powerful engine, yet it came into action only at a time when the Imperial Japanese Navy had lost most of its large aircraft carriers, so it flew mainly from land bases. Only a relatively small number were built.
The parts are cut out of the fret, bent along the engraved lines and glued with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The photo-etched elements usually sharpen the cockpit, the instrument panel, the seat belts and other fine details. Degrease the surfaces before gluing and paint with an airbrush for a uniform surface.
This is an accessory, not a model of the aircraft. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
