Responsibility details are not available.
A decal sheet with markings for the British BAe Hawk T.1 trainer in 1:48 scale. The Hawk is a two-seat jet with tandem seats and a low-set wing, intended for advanced pilot training. It has stayed in service for decades and has gone through a range of finishes, so it is the markings that decide which machine the model ends up being. The markings this sheet offers are not stated here.
The base under the decal has to be gloss, clean and degreased; on matte varnish a visible outline stays around the film once it is dry. Cut the decal out tight to the artwork, soak it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and let it rest until it starts to slide on the paper. Move it into place, align it with a brush and blot the excess water with a soft cloth. A decal softener helps on engraving and on curves, and once dry the area is sealed with varnish. Before you soak the sheet, check in the instructions whether it is a self-adhesive version: self-adhesive film is ruined once it has been soaked, whereas a waterslide decal that has not been soaked can still be soaked later.
It suits builders of postwar British aircraft and everyone who wants to finish a Hawk kit in markings other than those the box offers.
The decal sheet is supplied on its own. The model, paints, varnish and decal softener are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
