A decal sheet with the markings of the BAe Hawk T.1 trainer in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A decal sheet for the British BAe Hawk T.1 trainer in 1:48 scale. The Hawk T.1 is a two-seat jet used for advanced pilot training; the seats are one behind the other and the wing sits low on the fuselage. A kit usually offers only a few finishes, whereas a separate sheet lets you build a machine that is not in the box. The range of markings on this particular sheet is not listed here.
First coat the area where the decal will go with gloss and let it cure properly. A matte surface holds air under the film and a light outline then stays around the artwork. Cut the individual items off only just before you apply them, so that the rest of the sheet does not ripple. Leave the cut-off piece in lukewarm water for a few seconds and then let it rest on a paper towel; as soon as the film starts to slide, transfer it into place and push it home with a brush. Squeeze the water out from under the film and use a decal softener on engraving. Before you soak the sheet, though, check in the instructions whether it is a self-adhesive version: self-adhesive film is ruined for good once it has been soaked, whereas a waterslide decal can still be soaked later.
For modelers who build postwar British aircraft and want a particular machine on the model, and for those whose markings from the box have been damaged or have yellowed.
The decal sheet is supplied on its own. The model, paints, varnish and decal softener are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
