Photo-etched detail set 1:48 Fairey Barracuda Mk.II from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for refining the British carrier bomber. An accessory, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of photo-etched parts in 1:48 scale for the detailed finishing of a model of the British Fairey Barracuda Mk.II carrier-borne torpedo and dive bomber. It is an aftermarket accessory from the Czech manufacturer Eduard which adds fine metal detail to the interior as well as the exterior. Color-printed elements raise the fidelity of the instrument surfaces.
The Fairey Barracuda was a British carrier bomber of the Second World War, able to carry a torpedo as well as bombs and to operate in a dive attack. The Mk.II version was the most widespread and served with the British Fleet Air Arm in the Atlantic and in other areas. Its complex structure with a high-set wing is a rewarding subject for a detailer.
The photo-etched parts are snipped off the fret, bent over an etch bender and glued with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The color-printed surfaces are not covered over with opaque paint. It pays to pre-shape the small parts.
An accessory for more advanced modelers. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
