The LööKplus range builds on a finished color instrument panel and adds further parts from the manufacturer's range to it. The aim is to lift the level of the cockpit and the surrounding details without the drawn-out hand painting of dials.
The Airacobra had an unusual layout: the powerplant in the middle of the fuselage, the drive shaft under the pilot's seat and a heavy weapon on the propeller axis. The N rendition came about through lightening and a change of equipment against the earlier batches, and the great majority of these aircraft went to the Soviet Union, where they were flown above all at low and medium altitudes. That is exactly where the type could show its strengths, because at high altitude its performance fell away quickly.
First wash the resin parts in lukewarm water with detergent to get rid of the residue from the mold. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine-toothed saw and level the surface with a sanding sponge. They are bonded with super glue, because ordinary plastic chemicals have no effect on this material. Leave the colored surface of the instrument panel exposed and cover it with masking tape while you spray the surroundings.
The set complements a kit already obtained; the aircraft is sold separately.
