An Aires resin set in 1:48 scale containing the control surfaces, that is the ailerons, the elevator and the rudder, for the Messerschmitt Bf 108B Taifun. This is not an airplane model but an accessory for a plastic kit. The cast parts let you replace the fixed control surfaces of the kit with more finely worked parts that can be set deflected, which brings the outline of the model to life.
The Bf 108 Taifun was a German all-metal single-engine aircraft of the 1930s, related in design to the later Bf 109 fighter. It served as a touring, liaison and training machine and stood out for aerodynamics and equipment that were advanced for its day. The B version was the most widespread variant.
Cut the matching surfaces off the kit, wash the resin parts to remove the mold release agent and cut off the casting blocks. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and sand with airway protection. Deflected surfaces come alive once painted and lightly brought out along the edges with a wash.
This is a resin accessory for a kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
