Omask 1:48 masks for the control surfaces of the Bf 109G are self-adhesive masks that help to separate and spray the moving surfaces of a model in 1:48 scale cleanly. It is a painting accessory, not a model. The masks are cut for the Eduard kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of self-adhesive painting masks from Omask for models of the Messerschmitt Bf 109G fighter in 1:48 scale. The masks are shaped so as to define the rudder and the other moving surfaces accurately and to allow them to be separated cleanly or picked out in a different tone, or the tapes on the fabric covering to be suggested. After spraying you get sharp, repeatable edges without measuring anything out by hand. It is not a kit but an aid to painting.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109G, the Gustav, was one of the most numerous versions of the German fighter of the Second World War, with an inverted V12 Daimler-Benz engine. It was produced in enormous numbers and used on every front. On a model, defining the rudder and the control surfaces accurately matters for a faithful rendering of the surface and the colors.
Degrease the surfaces before masking and lay down the base shade. Stick the masks on following the shape of the moving surfaces and press the edges down so that the paint does not run under. Spray thinly and peel the mask off while the paint is still fresh, so that the edge stays sharp.
Paints, glue and the model are not included in the package. This is a painting aid for masking the control surfaces.
