Responsibility details are not available.
A set of painting masks by Eduard in 1:48 scale for the British Blackburn Buccaneer strike aircraft in the S.2B version. It is not a kit but an accessory which covers the glazing while spraying and lets the sharp canopy frames come out. This is the basic version, and the manufacturer also makes a double-sided variant designated TFace alongside it, which additionally covers the inner side of the glazing. Choose according to whether you want the frames painted from inside as well.
The Blackburn Buccaneer was a twin-engine strike aircraft developed for the Royal Navy to attack surface targets from low altitude and at high speed. Its rugged structure allowed it to fly just above the water and above the terrain. The S.2B version was the land-based variant for the Royal Air Force, adapted to carry anti-ship guided missiles. In Royal Air Force service it lasted until the 1990s, when it also took part in the fighting in the Persian Gulf.
Wash the glazing first and let it dry completely. Seat the masks one by one and press the edges down with a blunt tool so that paint does not seep underneath. Spray several thin coats instead of one heavy one and lift the mask off shortly after the paint has flashed off. On British low-level machines it pays to weather the model afterwards, because the surface of the real aircraft tended to be noticeably worn.
