1:48 Blackburn Buccaneer S.2C/D seatbelts STEEL is a separate photo-etched set of steel seat belts from the Czech manufacturer Eduard, pre-finished in color, for a Buccaneer model in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a narrowly focused accessory from Eduard, not a kit or a complete cockpit set. It contains only the seat belts for the crew seats, etched from steel and printed in color. Steel photo-etch holds its shape once bent, so a belt stays slack exactly as you set it. The Buccaneer has a two-seat cockpit, so the belts come into use on both seats and their natural run is immediately noticeable on the model.
The Blackburn Buccaneer was a British twin-engine carrier attack aircraft intended for penetration at very low altitude, with Rolls-Royce Spey engines and with a crew of a pilot and a navigator seated one behind the other. The S.2C and S.2D versions came out of the modernization of naval machines, with the S.2D adapted to carry guided missiles. The crew sat on ejection seats with a multi-point restraint system.
Working with photo-etch. Cut the belts off with a scalpel on a hard surface, never tear them out. Steel is stronger than brass, so bend it gradually with smooth-jawed tweezers or in a bending tool. It is bonded with a small drop of gel super glue. Do not use aggressive thinners on the color printing. Seat the belt at one point first, let it dry and only then shape its run over the edge of the seat.
The set contains only the seat belts; it is not a model or a complete cockpit set. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
