Eduard Big Ed 1:48 B-17F Flying Fortress alternate nose (frame X) PART I is a collection of photo-etched parts and masks for a model of this bomber with the framed nose. It is not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Big Ed set from the Czech maker Eduard brings the first part of the accessories for the plastic model of the Boeing B-17F Flying Fortress in 1:48 scale together into a single box. It is a set of details, not a model. This variant is prepared for the version with the alternate, framed nose glazing (frame X). The box contains pre-painted photo-etched parts for the interior, further photo-etched details for the airframe and self-adhesive masking film adapted to this shape of nose.
The Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress was an American four-engined heavy bomber of the Second World War. On the B-17F version various arrangements of nose glazing appeared in service, which led to a different layout of frames and of masking. This set deals with the variant with the framed nose.
The pre-painted photo-etched parts are printed in advance and replace the plastic parts of the interior. Separate the parts with a sharp knife and glue them with cyanoacrylate. It is essential to check that the shape of the nose on your base model matches this framed variant, as otherwise the mask will not fit.
This is an add-on set, not a model. The base kit, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package.
