Eduard 1:48 Boeing B-17F Flying Fortress TFace is a mask set for the variant with the alternate form of the nose, worked out for both sides of the glazing.
Responsibility details are not available.
A four-engine bomber has far more glazed area than a fighter, so masking pays off on it more than on anything else. According to the name the set is made for the alternate form of the nose and carries the TFace designation, which at Eduard means a solution for the outer and the inner side. It is not a model but an aid for painting.
The Boeing B-17F was the key version of the Flying Fortress for the daylight raids over occupied Europe in 1942 and 1943. Against the earlier series it received a modified nose with more continuous glazing, more powerful engines and a higher bomb load. It was on this version that it became clear how costly unescorted daylight formations were, and the experience from it led to fighter escort and to the later nose with a pair of machine guns. The glazed nose of the navigator and the bombardier is among the most typical features of the whole type.
Go section by section and do not try to cover the whole model at once. Finish the nose first, then move on to the turrets and the sides. Between sections, always check the edges against the light: with so many frames it is easy to miss one gap, which would then have to be corrected under a finished camouflage.
