Eduard 1:48 Boeing B-17F Flying Fortress - landing flaps is a photo-etched set for accurately rendered lowered flaps on the famous bomber. An accessory for a kit, not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This photo-etched set from the Czech maker Eduard serves to render the lowered landing flaps of the four-engine Boeing B-17F Flying Fortress bomber accurately in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft model but a detail accessory that replaces the solid plastic flaps with a finely pierced photo-etched structure.
The Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress was among the mainstays of the daylight strategic bombing of the American Eighth Air Force over Europe. The B-17F version was one of the main production variants used in 1942 and 1943. Lowered flaps bring a model standing on an airfield apron to life.
Separate the parts from the fret, make the bends over an edge and glue them with super glue. Fit the flaps once the wing surface is painted; a dark wash brings out the inner structure.
This is an accessory set, not a kit. The basic model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
