DK Decals 1:48 Boeing B-17F/G Flying Fortress, Fifteenth Air Force is a decal set for models of the heavy bomber B-17 deployed in Italy.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of waterslide decals in 1:48 scale from DK Decals meant for models of the heavy bombers Boeing B-17F and B-17G. The sheet concentrates on machines of the Fifteenth Air Force of the USAAF and lets you finish a model with period markings. It is not a kit: the decals serve to finish a model obtained separately.
The B-17 Flying Fortress was a four-engined American heavy bomber, a symbol of strategic bombing in the Second World War. The Fifteenth Air Force operated from southern Italy and its machines struck targets in southern and central Europe. The F and G versions differed above all in the nose armament and in details of the airframe.
Apply the large markings over a smooth gloss coat and use a decal softener and a setting solution so that the decals settle onto the riveting and the broken surfaces. Once dry, go over them with a matte or semi-gloss coat.
The package contains decals only. The model itself, paints and varnish are not included.
