The F/A-18F is the two-seat configuration of the carrier-based multirole aircraft, which carries out the same tasks as the single-seat version and in addition makes it possible to divide the work between two crew members. Compared with the older machines of the Hornet family it has a larger wing area, enlarged angular air intakes and more hardpoints under the wing. For the modeler it is a rewarding subject: a large carrier aircraft with rich equipment and with the varied markings of naval squadrons.
The set belongs to the Big Ed range, that is to the group of add-on sets that are sold for one model together in a single package. The aim is to cover more places on a model at once than a single small set could. Check the exact make-up, the number of parts and the kit the package is cut for in the manufacturer's catalog listing and instructions.
Always offer the accessories up dry before gluing them, as adjustments to the plastic are easier before the glue goes on. Finish and paint the inner spaces and the landing gear bays before you close the fuselage. Pick small parts up with tweezers over a tray, not over a carpet, where you will never find them again. Apply paint in thin layers so that it does not flood the fine surface of the accessories.
