The Brewster Model 239 was the export variant of the Buffalo carrier fighter delivered to Finland. Although the type did not earn much of a reputation in American and British service, Finnish pilots achieved remarkable success with it and a number of aces ran up high scores on it. The Finnish Brewsters carried the typical markings with the blue swastika.
