Responsibility details are not available.
A set of self-adhesive painting masks from Peewit for models of the Bristol Beaufort Mk.I torpedo bomber in 1:48 scale. The masks are cut from kabuki (washi) tape and cover the intricate cockpit glazing and the glazed nose that are typical of this machine. Once sprayed, you get sharp frames without going over them by hand with a brush. It is not a kit but an accessory that makes painting easier.
The Bristol Beaufort Mk.I was a British twin-engine torpedo and attack aircraft used in the Second World War, above all with Coastal Command. It carried a crew of several men and was committed to attacks on shipping with torpedoes and bombs. The extensive glazing of the cockpit and the nose makes masking one of the more laborious stages of the build.
Degrease the glazing before applying the masks and let it dry completely. Press the edges down carefully so that paint cannot run under. Spray thinly, first in the interior color of the frames and then in the top shade. Peel the masks off while the paint is still fresh, to get a clean edge.
Paints, glue and the model are not included in the package. This is a painting aid for masking glazing.
