An extensive set of fifty-two castings turns a light cross-country car into a vehicle of the British special forces as it looked in Europe in 1944. The basic car is not in the package. It is cast by the Black Dog brand in 1:48 scale. The brackets and the baggage are shaped to the car from the Tamiya 32552 kit.
In 1944 the British Special Air Service operated deep behind the German lines in France, and its working tool was a light cross-country car loaded with everything a patrol needed for several days on its own. Fuel, water, ammunition, signals equipment and personal gear were lashed to the car wherever there was room, because resupply could not be planned. The patrols moved mostly at night and hid in woodland shelters during the day.
With such a large number of parts it helps to sort them into dishes according to where they go. Build in assemblies: first the frames and brackets, then the baggage and finally the small gear. Each assembly is easier to paint on its own than to reach into with a brush between finished layers. Apply the dust and mud right at the end so the result looks uniform.
Neither paint products nor the carrying vehicle are part of the delivery.
