The Messerschmitt Bf 109 was among the most widespread fighter aircraft of the Second World War and its E series reached foreign users as well. Among them was the Bulgarian Air Force, which took machines of this series into its armament. The Bf 109E-3 version falls into the early part of the E series, that is into the form with an angular canopy and characteristically angular wingtips.
It is a sheet of decals in 1:48 scale aimed at the Bulgarian markings of Bf 109E-3 aircraft. It is the second part of the Bulgarian Arrows series. The set serves to finish a kit that has been built and offers markings not usually found in the boxes of ordinary makers. The number of marking options and their listing are given in the enclosed instructions.
Decals of this kind are transferred by the wet method. Cut the element out as closely as possible, dip it for a few seconds in lukewarm water and let it rest until the film starts to come free of the backing. Apply it onto a smooth gloss surface, as otherwise air bubbles will stay under the film and the edge will go white. Seating it into engraved lines and over convex faces is made easier by a decal softener; once dry, go over the whole model with matte or semi-gloss varnish according to the surface of the subject.
The kit of the aircraft, paints and a decal softener are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
