Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard contains precisely pre-cut self-adhesive masks made of fine Japanese kabuki tape for a model of the Blohm & Voss BV 141 in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit and it is not a finished model, but an accessory that makes masking easier and more accurate when spraying paint.
The masks are applied to the many frames of the extensive glazed cockpit and to the wheel rims, so that after spraying the glass stays clear and the tires stay free of paint. The heavily glazed crew gondola of the BV 141 calls for an extraordinary amount of masking, so pre-cut masks save the most time here. The tape holds tight and leaves no adhesive when peeled off, so the frames come out sharp and straight.
The Blohm & Voss BV 141 was an unusual German reconnaissance aircraft of the Second World War with a strikingly asymmetric layout — the glazed crew gondola sat beside the fuselage, which carried the engine and the tail surfaces. It was powered by a single radial engine. The machine never got beyond a small test series and never entered regular service.
The set contains pre-cut masking parts only. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
