1:48 Camouflage Paint Masks For Super Etendard Tiger Meet 2007 And Insignia Stencils is a two-sheet set of stencils for the ceremonial tiger coloring of the French carrier aircraft in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
Two sheets of pre-cut shapes carry the artwork of the ceremonial coloring that the carrier-based Super Etendard took to the international meeting of tiger units in 2007, and with it stencils for the national insignia. The coloring was light, with dark stripes running across the whole fuselage and the vertical tail - precisely the kind of artwork that cannot be masked freehand.
The association of tiger units brings together squadrons that have a tiger or a reference to one in their badge, and once a year it holds a joint exercise. The custom is to bring a machine in a striped spray to it. The French naval flotilla 11F has its tiger status from the ship it once operated from, and in 2007 it sent Super Etendards in a light tiger artwork to the meeting in Norway.
The light base can be applied first and left to cure well; only then do the shapes for the dark stripes come into play. The stripes run across raised edges and transitions, so help the stencils along by warming them, so that they seat. Spray the insignia last, after varnishing, and very thinly at that. A ceremonial coloring will take only restrained weathering - heavy soiling would knock the whole effect down.
The model of the aircraft and paints are not enclosed.
