A pack from the LööKplus range is meant for one model and brings together more detail items than a standalone instrument panel set would hold. On a helicopter such an investment makes sense above all because the Chinook has a large glazed flight deck and is usually built with the cargo bay open - so the inside is seen more than on fighter aircraft. It is not a kit of the machine; the plastic model has to be obtained separately.
The Boeing Vertol CH-47A Chinook is a twin-engine transport helicopter with a tandem arrangement of two counter-rotating main rotors, thanks to which it needs no anti-torque tail rotor. The A version was the first production standard and the machine has stayed in service to this day through a series of upgrades. What is characteristic is the rectangular fuselage body with a cargo ramp at the rear, the high-set engine nacelles and the three-point landing gear.
On a helicopter the order of work is crucial: the glazing of the flight deck is glued and masked before the fuselage is painted, and all the interior accessories have to be in place even earlier. Try the parts dry, adjust the mating surfaces in small steps and glue spot by spot with cyanoacrylate. Leave the rotor blades to the very end so that they are not in the way while you handle the model. With a Chinook model it also pays to check the stability - the high-set mass of the rotor heads means the finished model is best stored and carried by the fuselage rather than by the rotors.
The set is an accessory to a model, not a helicopter kit. The base model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
