The Big Ed B-24J Liberator PART II photo-etched detail set in 1:48 scale from Eduard for refining a plastic kit. It is not a model but an accessory to the base kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A bundle of Big Ed photo-etched details in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard, intended for the large Consolidated B-24J Liberator bomber (the Hobby Boss kit). Big Ed groups several separately sold photo-etched and masking sets into one package. The PART II designation means that this is the second, complementary part to the separate PART I set. It is not a model of the aircraft but a set of accessories with which you refine and liven up a plastic kit.
Photo-etched parts push the detail of a model to where injection-molded plastic cannot reach – fine grilles, panels, loops, stiffeners and other small items that markedly raise the realism once painted. The particular composition of the individual sub-sets is always given in the enclosed instructions.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface and form them with a bender or with the help of a ruler. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) in small drops. Degrease them before painting and apply a primer, ideally with an airbrush. The color-printed photo-etched areas are the most delicate, so count on a steady hand and good light.
It is an accessory for more advanced modelers. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
