Responsibility details are not available.
A masking accessory for painting the glazing of this American trainer in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit; the set only covers the clear surfaces and lets straight frames stand out. The contents of the package are stated on the box of the set; the masks are cut for this particular type.
At the end of the 1930s the Curtiss-Wright company developed a series of light monoplanes, from which the US Navy derived the advanced SNC-1 trainer. The two-man crew sat in tandem under a drawn-out glazed cockpit, the machine had a radial engine and served to train pilots before they moved on to combat types. Trainers tended to be strikingly colorful so that they were clearly visible, so sharp edges pay off all the more on a model.
A long tandem cockpit means many consecutive frames and it is easy to get lost in them. Work from the nose backward and keep checking the finished sections against the light. The striking yellow and silver shades typical of training machines need an even base; apply it in thin coats and let it dry properly. Take the masks off slowly and at an angle so that the edge does not lift.
