A detailed accessory from Metallic Details in 1:48 scale representing an anti-tank hedgehog, an obstacle of the period. It serves to fit out dioramas and scenes of the Second World War; it is not a model of a vehicle or an aircraft.
The anti-tank hedgehog, called a rozsocha in Czech, is a welded obstacle made of three steel sections in the shape of a star. It is a Czechoslovak invention, originally intended for border fortifications. During the Second World War hedgehogs were used widely on both sides of the front, among other places as part of the Atlantic Wall on the beaches in Normandy.
Clean the parts up and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue if needed. The hedgehog lends itself superbly to weathering with rust, wear and deposits of mud using washes and pigments. In a diorama it looks convincing in groups and in combination with concrete obstacles.
This is a diorama accessory, not a model of a vehicle on its own. Glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
