A decal sheet in 1:48 scale for the de Havilland Canada DHC-1 Chipmunk trainer. An accessory for a kit, not a model of the aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
A sheet with markings for the de Havilland Canada DHC-1 Chipmunk trainer in 1:48 scale. Markings are what sets otherwise identical models apart: only from the national insignia, the numbers and the lettering can the viewer tell which machine it is. Which particular options the sheet offers is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The Chipmunk is a two-seat trainer with a piston engine, tandem seats and fixed landing gear with a tail wheel. It came about at the Canadian branch of the de Havilland company shortly after the Second World War as a replacement for older training biplanes and became the basic machine of flight training in Great Britain and in Canada. It flew for whole decades, a generation of pilots learned on it and a number of airframes are kept flying in private hands to this day. That is precisely why it appears on models in a colorful range of finishes, from sober military ones to striking civilian ones.
The decal sheet is supplied on its own. The kit of the aircraft, paints, varnishes and a decal softener are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise. The particular application procedure and any use of a decal softener are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
