A color photo-etch set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for detailing the British Boulton Paul Defiant Mk.I fighter in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft model but a set of fine etched metal parts meant for the Airfix kit. It sharpens the interior and selected external details - the instrument panel, the cockpit panels and the harness; the faces printed in color look convincing without painting.
The Defiant Mk.I was a British fighter with an unusual layout - all its armament was concentrated in a powered dorsal turret and the aircraft had no fixed forward machine guns. Meant as a day fighter, it ended up excelling rather as a night fighter during the Battle of Britain.
Separate the parts from the etched fret with a sharp knife on a hard surface, form the bends with a bending tool or a ruler and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Do not varnish over the printed color faces. Working with such small parts belongs to a more advanced modeler.
This is an accessory photo-etched set, not an aircraft model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
