1:48 Do 217K-1 BASIC Kabuki Masks form the basic masking set for the German bomber with a fully glazed nose.
Responsibility details are not available.
The BASIC extent covers the glazing of the cockpit, the remaining transparent components and the wheel hubs. With a machine with such an extensive glazed area that represents the most laborious part of the whole masking, and the ready-made cutouts shorten it to a fraction of the time.
The Dornier Do 217 was the largest and heaviest of the German medium bombers of its generation. The K version differs from the older forms in a completely new nose: instead of an offset pilot's cockpit it was given a smooth glazed tip in which the whole four-man crew sat together. The power came from BMW 801 radial engines, and from 1943 the machines appeared over the British Isles and in the Mediterranean, where they were deployed by units fighting against the Allied fleet.
First polish the glazing and rid it of fingerprints, because under a mask it is out of reach. Seat the individual pieces from the largest areas to the smallest and press the edges down with a toothpick. Before you start spraying, look the part over against the light to see whether a lifted edge has been left anywhere.
The contents of the package are the masking sheets. You will not find the kit, paints or glue in it.
