Responsibility details are not available.
A detail set from the Eduard SPACE range in 1:48 scale for a model of the German Dornier Do 217K-1 bomber. The SPACE range combines 3D decals printed on backing decal paper, which have real relief of the instrument panels, consoles and knobs, with color photo-etched parts such as seat belts. The cockpit thus gains a raised and colored appearance without laborious hand painting.
The Dornier Do 217 was a German twin-engine bomber and multi-role aircraft of the Second World War, more powerful and larger than the older Do 17. The Do 217K version had a newly shaped rounded nose with extensive canopy glazing. The aircraft served as a bomber and as a carrier of guided munitions. A carefully rendered interior of the glazed cockpit contributes markedly to the overall impression of a finished model.
Prepare the surface under the elements smooth and degreased. Moisten only the backing paper with a sponge and a drop of detergent, lift the element with tweezers and fix it with PVA glue (white glue). Do not use a decal softener or a setting solution, because their chemistry attacks the printed resin and destroys the element. Separate the color photo-etched parts from the fret and glue them with cyanoacrylate. The manufacturer does not recommend cyanoacrylate on the 3D element itself. The set is designed for a particular plastic Do 217K-1 model in the given scale.
This is a detail set, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
