A set of figures in 1:48 scale for a diorama with the deck of an aircraft carrier. The motif goes back to the operation of April 1942, when twin-engine bombers took off from the deck of an aircraft carrier; the inscriptions on the bombs were part of preparing a machine at the time. The figures are conceived as a working scene, that is in poses around the load rather than in action.
Put the figures together dry first and check that they fit the intended composition and the height of the deck. Clean up the joints at the shoulders and the waist, otherwise a visible groove will be left once they are assembled. Take the painting from a dark base toward the light: bring out the edges of the work coveralls and the vests with a dry brush, and build the faces up in thin coats. In 1:48 a face is small, but in a display case it is the first place a viewer looks. Do the inscriptions on the bombs with a fine brush or with decals of your own.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Neither the aircraft nor a base is included in the package.
