This is a masking set for a plastic model, not a kit. The templates are cut for the glazing of the two-seat version of the Dornier Do 335 designated A-12 from the Tamiya kit in 1:48 scale, and in a double-sided form: the outer shapes are accompanied by their inner counterparts. The frame of both cockpits can thus be painted from both sides while the glass stays clean.
The two-seat conversion has longer glazing and a second cockpit set higher, so more can be seen inside it than on the single-seat machine. If the frame were painted only from the outside, bare clear plastic would show through from the inside and spoil the impression of the interior. The inner masks therefore make it possible to apply the interior shade to the inner side of the frames as well.
Degrease the clear part and let it dry. First stick the inner shapes down and spray the interior shade; once it is dry, add the outer masks and apply the outer color. Always press the edges down thoroughly with a soft tool and spray thin coats. Lift the masks off with tweezers at a sharp angle as soon as the paint has set.
The package contains masks only. The kit, paints and glue are not part of it.
