Big Ed is not a kit nor a single photo-etched set. It is a bundle: in it Eduard brings several of its separately sold accessories for one particular model together and offers them in a single package. Typically it is a combination of photo-etched parts for the interior and the exterior and masking templates; the exact make-up of the particular bundle is given on the packaging and in the manufacturer's catalog. The model of the aircraft is not part of it - the bundle is bought to go with it.
The Douglas A-1 Skyraider was a single-engine carrier attack aircraft with a piston radial engine, which came about at the end of the Second World War and lasted in service considerably longer than expected. Its strengths were a large load of armament and the ability to stay over the battlefield for a long time, which made it a valued machine for close support of ground units and for escorting rescue helicopters. The A-1H version is the single-seat variant of late production. The combination of a piston engine and a modern battlefield makes the Skyraider an unusual subject and a popular one among modelers.
Photo-etched parts are glued with super glue or with two-part epoxy, not with cement for plastic. Make the folds over a metal rule or in a bending tool, not with your fingers. Pre-painted color parts are not varnished again; they are only unified with a matte varnish once glued on. Stick the masking templates onto clean glazing after it has been polished, press them down well along the frames and spray the paint in thin coats, so that it does not run under the edge. Fit and paint the interior parts before you close the fuselage up - afterwards you will no longer reach them.
The bundle holds add-on sets, not a model of the aircraft. Glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
