Full-color instrument panels with a raised relief for the Douglas A-26C Invader model in 1:48 scale, cut for ICM kits.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Douglas A-26 Invader was a fast twin-engine attack and bomber aircraft from the end of the Second World War which stayed in service long after it. The C version carried a glazed nose with a bombardier's station, whereas the B version had a solid nose fitted with armament. The instrument panel sits right under the front glazing, so on a finished model it tends to be clearly visible.
The set holds instrument panels in a full-color version for 1:48 scale, cut for ICM kits. The instruments have a raised relief as well as color, so the lengthy filling in of individual dials with a brush is unnecessary and the faces stay legible even under closed glazing.
With the original panel from the kit it is usually enough to sand it flat so that the replacement seats without a gap. Before application, check in the manufacturer's instructions whether the items are self-adhesive and choose your procedure and any glue accordingly. Wash and degrease the area in advance, offer the item up dry first and only then seat it permanently; the position can be corrected only briefly. Work with tweezers and in good light.
It suits a modeler who is building the cockpit open or who wants a legible instrument panel under the glazing without laborious hand painting. It is also worth having where the view through is only partial, because a full-color panel draws the eye first. The kit itself, the paints and the glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
