A set of precisely die-cut self-adhesive painting masks from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for a model of the single-seat European Eurofighter EF-2000 Typhoon in 1:48 scale. It is neither a kit nor a model: it is an accessory that makes it easier to paint the canopy glazing and other small areas cleanly. The masks are stuck straight onto the parts, so the frame of the large bubble canopy comes out with crisp straight edges without the laborious cutting of masking tape. Sets of this kind usually also include circular masks for the wheel rims.
The Eurofighter Typhoon (designated EF-2000) is a modern European multirole fighter of generation 4++ developed jointly by the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy and Spain. The canard delta configuration gives it high agility and, together with its capable avionics, makes it one of the pillars of European air power. This set is intended for the single-seat variant with one cockpit.
Lift the mask carefully off the backing with tweezers or the tip of a knife and lay it on a dry, degreased surface. Press the edges down thoroughly so that paint cannot creep under them. Apply the paint in thin coats, ideally with an airbrush, and pull the mask off before the coat has hardened completely. On strongly curved shapes it helps to seal the edge with masking fluid.
This is a set of painting masks, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
