Responsibility details are not available.
This is a standalone sheet of waterslide decals in 1:48 scale from the brand Caracal Models, not a kit. The sheet is focused on EMB-312 Tucano machines in Brazilian service and is added to a plastic model of this type, which the modeler obtains separately. Which particular examples and color schemes the sheet covers is given by the manufacturer on its packaging and in the instructions enclosed; we recommend looking at them before buying, so that you get exactly the markings you want to build.
The Embraer EMB-312 Tucano is a Brazilian single-engined turboprop trainer aircraft with a pair of seats in tandem under a long transparent canopy. It flew at the beginning of the 1980s and in the Brazilian Air Force it replaced older piston trainer types. Against them it offered higher performance, ejection seats and instrument equipment closer to jet machines, so training followed on smoothly to combat types. Besides basic and advanced training it also served for light support and patrol tasks, and from Brazil it spread to a number of further countries.
The basis of success is a smooth gloss base. On matte paint a decal will not settle over its whole area, air stays between the carrier film and the surface and the edges then show themselves as a pale veil. Spray the place of application with clear gloss varnish, therefore, let it cure properly and only then work with the decals. Once dry, the whole surface is unified again with a matte or semi-matte varnish according to how the machine is to look.
The package contains only a decal sheet. The kit, paints, glue and varnishes are not part of it.
