1:48 ENB-314 Super Tucano interior 3D decals (for HobbyBoss kit)

What the set offers

A set of color three-dimensional elements of the cockpit interior for a model of the EMB-314 Super Tucano in 1:48 scale. According to the name it is adapted to the HobbyBoss kit. The elements are colored straight away, so they replace the long hand painting of the small instruments and control panels, and their raised relief gives the cockpit a depth that flat printing cannot reach. At the same time they stay thin and pliable, so they conform even to a rounded surface.

The elements are applied wet

The films of the QD series are printed on a decal backing paper and they have no adhesive layer of their own. The part is cut out of the sheet, left about fifteen seconds in lukewarm water and slid off the paper into place. It holds reliably on a gloss varnish, that is on a layer of Future or Klear or Tamiya X-22. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as the chemicals attack the printed resin.

The application procedure

First rid the surface where the element is to go of dust and grease and coat it with a gloss varnish. Separate the element with a sharp blade, soak it briefly and slide it off the paper into place. Align the position while it is still damp, and only then press it down with a soft tool from the center toward the edges so that no air stays underneath. On rounded surfaces patience and a drop of cyanoacrylate glue will help.
