A wheeled fire extinguisher of the 150 pound weight class in 1:48 scale from Plusmodel is a diorama accessory for airfield and workshop scenes. It is not an aircraft kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a diorama accessory, not a model of an aircraft. The scale model represents a large fire extinguisher on a wheeled chassis, that is a piece of equipment that because of its weight is not carried but wheeled and parked where there is a risk of fire. The figure of 150 pounds corresponds to roughly 68 kilograms and places the extinguisher among the large operational units used in hangars, workshops and on airfield aprons. The 1:48 scale matches ordinary aircraft kits.
The accessory populates an apron or a hangar. Parked beside an aircraft during refueling, by a running engine, at the edge of a workshop or at a test stand, it explains at once that this is a real workplace with its own rules and not a display base. At the same time it gives the scene scale, because the viewer judges the size of the aircraft from a familiar object. Combined with a cart, a ladder, intake covers and figures, it makes a credible support setting.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with dish soap and let them dry, then glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Spray a primer before painting. Firefighting equipment tends to be strongly colored so that it can be seen, so complement a saturated shade on the body with a darker chassis and wheels. Keep the weathering operational rather than ruined, that is chipped paint on the edges and at the grip points, dust from below, tire marks and a lightly soiled hose. A wash in the pressings and around the fittings pulls out the detail. If you set the extinguisher at a slight angle rather than square to the aircraft, the scene will look more natural.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints, a base and an aircraft model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
