A photo-etched set from the Zoom range by the Czech manufacturer Eduard for the model of the Lockheed F-104G Starfighter in its early form in 1:48 scale. Zoom sets concentrate on what is most visible: color etched parts for the instrument panel and the seat harness, printed at the factory. Unlike the full sets they contain no unpainted parts for the exterior and the landing gear, so they are quicker to build and friendlier for a first encounter with etched parts. This is an accessory, and the aircraft model is not in the package.
The F-104G was the most widespread version of the supersonic Starfighter, a multirole aircraft developed for the European NATO states and also built under license in Europe. Early forms differed from the later ones in details of the cockpit equipment, so it is worth choosing the set that matches the particular machine.
Cut the color parts away with a sharp knife on a hard backing and glue them with super glue in a minimal amount, so that it does not run onto the printing. The instrument panel can be assembled by layering the parts one on another, which creates a three-dimensional effect on the dials. Once fitted, even the parts out gently with a matte clear coat; do not spray paint over them.
This is an accessory: the aircraft kit is not included in the package. Please check the fit with your kit.
