A set of stencils for the canopy frames of the F-105F and F-105G versions in 1:48 scale, this time in the form for both sides of the glazing. The inner and the outer framing therefore come out equally sharp and the shade of the cockpit is nowhere lost under an inaccurate line. The pieces are cut for the Revell and Monogram kits.
In the rear seat of a Wild Weasel machine sat an electronic warfare officer, who was nicknamed the Bear. From the receivers he recognized which radar was lighting up at that moment, determined the direction and guided the aircraft so that it got a chance to shoot. The two cockpits one behind the other therefore have different equipment and that is worth distinguishing during the build. Two-seat Thunderchiefs stayed on combat tasks even after the single-seat machines left the front line, and their profile with a long spine and a tall fin is among the most recognizable silhouettes of the period.
