F-14A grilles STEEL 1:48 – a steel photo-etched set of grilles and intakes from the manufacturer Eduard for a model of the American carrier fighter F-14A Tomcat.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched set from the manufacturer Eduard in 1:48 scale in the STEEL version – of stainless steel sheet. It contains fine grilles, intakes and pierced covers for the exterior of the American carrier fighter aircraft F-14A Tomcat. Steel etch replaces thick-walled plastic areas with thin perforated grilles with faithful depth. This is not an aircraft model in its own right but an accessory that refines its surface.
The Grumman F-14A Tomcat was an American two-seat carrier fighter aircraft with a variable-geometry wing, used by the navy from the 1970s. The fuselage and the engine nacelles carried a number of grilled openings and air intakes that are usually only suggested in plastic on a model.
The photo-etched grilles are glued over the matching areas or into cut-out openings. Separate the parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface and glue them with cyanoacrylate. Once fitted, the steel etch can be lightly repainted into the shade of the surrounding finish.
This is a supplementary photo-etched set, not a model in its own right. It calls for a matching base kit, which is not included in the package.
