A TFace mask set for the F-16D Block 30/40/50 in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. The TFace designation means masks for the outer and the inner side of the glazing.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of pre-cut self-adhesive masks for painting a model of the two-seat aircraft in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit but a painting aid. The TFace designation means that the set deals with both sides of the glazing, the outer and the inner one.
With an ordinary mask set the inside of the canopy stays in the color of the clear part. The frames then remain clear when you look into the cockpit, even though on the real aircraft they are painted. TFace adds cut-outs matching the inner surface, so you spray the inside separately, usually in the shade of the cockpit interior. It is on the two-seat version that this makes the most sense: the canopy is long, fairly clean and the interior is clearly visible under it, especially if you finish the model with the cockpit open. That is also why the set is more extensive than the basic set for the same type; both carry the same name and the difference lies precisely in the TFace designation.
Stick the inner masks on first, spray the interior shade and let it dry. Then come the outer masks and the exterior paint. Degrease the clear parts beforehand, press the edges of the masks down once they are stuck on and spray thin coats. Take the masks off as soon as the paint becomes tacky, pulling back over themselves at a sharp angle.
