A set of colored interior elements from the brand Kelik for a model of the F-4B Phantom II carrier fighter in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The F-4B was an early carrier version of the two-seat Phantom II fighter of the US Navy. The pilot sat at the front, the weapon systems operator behind him, and the two stations were equipped differently. The cockpit of the Phantom is clearly visible with the canopies open and belongs among the places where it shows most on a model how much work the builder put into it.
The elements carry both color and three-dimensional relief, so once they are seated on the instrument panel, the side panels and the other areas of the cockpit, detail comes about that would be painted by hand only with difficulty. It saves painting the dials, the switches and the lettering one by one, and the result is even in both cockpits. The extent of the elements and their layout are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Before application, check in the instructions whether the elements are self-adhesive; the procedure of application differs among the individual ranges and is given in the instructions to this set. First rid the area under an element of three-dimensional detail that would make a bump beneath it, and level and degrease the surface. Seat the element with tweezers and press it down with a soft cotton swab from the center toward the edges, so that it seats everywhere. It is sensible to finish the cockpit before the fuselage is glued together, as afterward you will get into it only with difficulty.
The kit of the aircraft, paints and glue are not included in the supply, unless stated otherwise.
