1:48 F-4C Phantom is a combined box of accessories for the American fighter-bomber in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
Large two-seat aircraft swallow the most accessories: two cockpits, extensive landing gear bays and plenty of panels on the surface. That is exactly why a combined box makes more sense with the Phantom than with a small fighter. The builder has the equipment in one place instead of tracking down the individual sets one after another.
The McDonnell F-4C was the first production form of the Phantom tailored to the US Air Force. It differed from the naval variant in the dual controls in the rear cockpit, wider tires and the receptacle for in-flight refueling by a rigid boom. Over Vietnam it became a universal workhorse that flew bomber escort just as readily as attacks on ground targets.
With a two-seat cockpit it pays to finish both tubs first and only then think about closing the fuselage. Work the bays and their doors in parallel with the surface, otherwise finished parts will come apart during later handling. Press panels with thin relief down with a rubber tip so that no fingerprints are left, and keep checking that the added layers do not stop the parts from seating.
The box serves to add equipment; the airframe of the aircraft is not part of it.
