This set from the maker Quinta Studio brings complete colored cockpit equipment for the early version of the F-4D Phantom II fighter in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit of an aircraft but a detailed interior accessory. The details are printed with 3D technology and printed in full color on a flexible decal film, so they have real relief and are applied like a wet decal. This smaller (reduced) version is moreover completed with 3D-printed resin parts. The decals are shaped to the parts of the Academy kit.
The F-4 Phantom II was a two-seat multirole fighter, one of the icons of the Cold War and of service in Southeast Asia. The F-4D version came from the US Air Force and brought improved avionics. Its roomy cockpit with a multitude of instruments and panels is an ideal candidate for emphasis with colored details.
Carefully cut the parts out, immerse them in lukewarm water and slide them off the backing into the designated place. The film is flexible and follows the shape of the plastic parts; do not use decal softener, it would damage the printed resin. Wash the resin parts free of residues before gluing and attach them with super glue. Assemble and apply the interior before closing the fuselage.
This is an accessory for a cockpit, not a model of an aircraft. The kit itself, glue and paints are not part of the package.
